Questions To Berea Students

Hi I am a prospective student this fall! I just got my Berea admission packet.  I got several questions to ask:
I am interested in taking up pre-med and wondering about the research opportunities available for undergrads at Berea.
Is it difficult to graduate from Berea? Is their grading system very strict?
Is the environment very competitive?
Can we choose our jobs or are we assigned to them?
How friendly are the students? Can newbies fit in quickly? I am a bit shy so I am wondering.

Thanks in advance.

okay, so i was just wondering how religious berea is, because i'm not very religious. at all.
also, how is the environment, conservative or liberal?
and, last question, is it a really homophobic environment or is it pretty open-minded to different sexualities?

i know this community is basically dead, but hopefully someone will reply anyway.

Where's everybody been? It's dead. I'm really excited to meet some of you all this fall. I'm anticipating college although I will miss Big Stone Gap.

You know my mother brought up the suggestion to Berea College. She and I looked into it. The more she and I looked into it. The more it really came to interest me. I mean it's a Christian college. They have a full tuition scholarship. They have the major I'm looking for. Respect. Seems well behaved. My cousin actually graduated from there in 2004 I do believe. He says there weren't any parties. I won't be involved in the parties. But the more I learned about Berea the more I liked it. And it isn't too terribly far from home. Yeah three and a half hours IS a long time but you all get what I am saying. At the campus tour I went on in November i learned that the people there were very friendly. Was great.

I learned that this was God's will for me.

Where is everybody on this community?
